Background

Having previously sold NFTs to their collectors, Verse Galleries sought to expand their offerings by incorporating generative art into their projects. Using a custody model that allowed collectors to pay in USD, they aimed to leverage Engine Flex to enable machine learning projects—storing machine learning datasets on IPFS and integrating them into generative scripts.

Custom solution

Art Blocks Engine developed a tailored custody-model solution for Verse Galleries, achieving the following:

  • Engine Flex Contracts: Deployed Engine Flex contracts, enabling Verse to collaborate with artist Mark Webster on a machine learning generative project.
  • Custom Contract Adjustments: Provided contract tweaks for added customization to meet specific project needs.
  • Seamless Integration: Integrated Engine technology into Verse’s existing product, supporting both generative and non-generative minting processes.

Our approach led to the sale of 150 editions at approximately $300 each, totaling $45,000 in initial sales and generating over $50,000 in secondary trading volume.
